My 22 year old son recently had his 3rd manic episode which hospitalized him for 10 days. In the hospital he had a psychotic break which I believe was initiated by the doctor's prescription of wellbutrin while my son was still manic in the hospital. My son now hears terrible voice and sees awful images when it gets dark and he especially cannot sleep. I applaud your article of freeing oneself from meds, but how does a bipolar patient control voices and horrific images without a psychotic med?

Dear Johnathan,

You have a very reasoned and calm writing voice. I like that. However, I notice that your piece on bipolar concentrates on theory. You tell the reader what to do but you don't say how to do it. Your information is great but perhaps if you don't just tell, but show, it would help many people.

Best regards,
Sharon
